Ms. Carmen Matero Alcántara
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. She studied political communications at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and the Pelayo International University (UIMP). She also holds a master’s degree in Business Strategy from Madrid’s EOI (Escuela de Organización Industrial) and an Executive master’s degree in Health Institution Management and Administration from the Antonio de Nebrija University. Furthermore, she is a journalist specialised in economy and parliamentary information.
She developed her journalistic activity from 1981-86 at the following media: OTR/ Press, TIEMPO, El Nuevo Lunes, Tribuna de Actualidad and Antena 3, where she has been responsible within the Parliament and Economy fields coverage.
She has been a Communications director of the following companies: Software AG, AMA-PSN and Sanchís y Asociados. She specialised in Institutional Relations and she directed such area for seven years at the agency Sanchís y Asociados. After such period, she decided to create her own company.
In 1997, she started Cariotipo MH5, a strategic consultancy of firms within the communications areas and relations with the various Administrations and Governments. This company mainly develops its activity within a highly specialised and regulated sector: The pharmaceutical industry.
Besides, she was a member of the Bioethics Committee of the Spanish People’s Party from 1998 to 2000.
